How to Enable USB Debugging on Android

    USB debugging allows your Android phone to communicate with the computer with the Android SDK. In another words, it helps you do the advanced operations such as receive terminal commands and files. However, the way to enable USB debugging on Android devices is depend on the brand. Here, we will show you how to do that on Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi devcies.

    How to Enable USB Debugging on Samsung Devices

    For Samsung Galaxy S8 to S21, Note 10/9/8

    Step 1: Go to “Settings” > “About phone” > “Software information”, then tap “Build number” seven times until the message “Developer mode has been enabled” appears.

    Step 2: Back to the Settings menu, search “Developer options” and turn on the “USB debugging” button.

    Step 3: When the “Allow USB debugging” message appears, click “OK” to continue.

    For Samsung Galaxy S5 to S7 Edge, J2/J3/J5/J7

    Step 1: Go to “Settings” > “About phone” > “Software information” and tap “Build number” several times to open developer mode.

    Step 2. Same, back to the Settings menu search “Developer Options” to open the USB Debugging” mode.

    Step 3: Last, connect your device to computer and then you will see “Allow USB debugging” option, click “OK” to finish the steps.

    How to Enable USB Debugging on Huawei Devices

    For Huawei Mate 7/Mate 8/Mate 9

    Step 1: Head to “Settings” > “About phone”.

    Step 2: Tap “Build number” seven times until you get the prompt “You are now a developer!”.

    Step 3: Go back to Settings menu and select Developer options to turn on the “USB debugging”.

    Step 4. Finally, when connecting the Huawei phone to the computer via the USB cable, click “OK” to allow USB debugging.

    For Huawei Ascend P7/P8/P9 Plus/P10Plus, Honor 6/7/8

    Step 1: Go to “Settings” > “About phone” >”Build number” and tap seven times.

    Step 2: Return to Settings and select Developer options, turn “USB debugging” on.

    Step 3: Last, connect device to computer with USB cable, click “OK” when you see “Allow USB debugging”.

    How to Enable USB Debugging on XIAOMI Devices

    For Xiaomi Mi/Redmi

    Step 1: Go to “Settings” > “About phone”, tapping “MIUI version” continuously until you see the prompt “You have enabled developer option”.

    Step 2: Back to the last screen and go to “Additional Settings”, hit “Developer options” to turn “USB debugging” button on.
